Daniel and Revelation

The conspiracy to unseat the Messiah is applied by the New Testament to the plot to destroy Jesus – Psalm 2:1-6. The Second Psalm is a key passage that the New Testament applies to Jesus, but when were the Psalm’s predictions fulfilled? Is the Messiah reigning now on David’s Throne or is the world waiting for his enthronement at a future date? What is the revolt of nations and kings against the Son of God?

Le Deuxième Psaume est appliqué à Jésus par les auteurs du Nouveau Testament. Quand ses prédictions se sont-elles accomplies, et le Messie règne-t-il aujourd'hui sur le trône de David? Ou le monde attend-il toujours son installation royale dans le futur? La révolte des nations contre le Fils de Dieu est - elle une prédiction d'une guerre future entre Jésus et les gouvernements terrestres - (Psaume 2:1-6)?

Jésus, le Témoin Fidèle, règne maintenant en maître sur les Rois de la Terre, et il conduit les nations vers la Ville Sainte de la Nouvelle Jérusalem . Jésus est nommé “ le Souverain des rois de la Terre ” par le Livre de l'Apocalypse . Sa souveraineté actuelle est basée sur sa Mort et sa Résurrection passées. Il ne gouverne pas par droit héréditaire ou par puissance militaire, mais à cause de sa mort rédemptrice. C'est l'Agneau immolé qui est assis sur le Trône, et son autorité s'étend même sur la Mort et l'Hadès.

With the outpouring of the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, the blessings for all nations promised to Abraham commenced . The gift of the Holy Spirit is described as “the promise of the Father” in the New Testament, which connects this gift to the Abrahamic covenant. The promises to Abraham and his seed are fulfilled in the New Covenant inaugurated by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Spirit is the guarantee that we will inherit all that God has promised.

Le règne de Jésus sur le Trône Divin est basé sur sa mort sacrificielle et sa résurrection, la base inébranlable de son autorité universelle . La Mort, la Résurrection et l'Exaltation de Jésus sont toutes liées dans le Livre de l'Apocalypse . Christ règne en maître sur la Terre en raison de sa mort obéissante et de sa résurrection subséquente, et il est donc autorisé à révéler et à mettre en action le contenu du “ Rouleau scellé ”. Il ne tyrannise pas ses sujets; au contraire, il est “ le Berger des nations " qui rachète les hommes et les femmes de chaque nation.

La Bonne Nouvelle annoncée par Jésus de Nazareth offre le salut et la vie aux hommes et aux femmes de chaque nation . Après sa résurrection, Jésus a déclaré que “ toute autorité au ciel et sur la terre m'a été donnée; par conséquent, allez et faites des disciples de toutes les nations! ” Ainsi, il envoya ses disciples annoncer sa seigneurie et son salut “ aux extrémités de la Terre .” Le message vivifiant du Christ doit être annoncé à tous les hommes et à toutes les nations sous le ciel.

The Good News announced by Jesus of Nazareth offers salvation and life to the men and women of every nation . After his resurrection, Jesus declared that “ all authority in heaven and on earth is given to me; therefore, go and make disciples of all nations !” Thus, he sent his disciples to announce his lordship and salvation to “ the ends of the Earth .” Christ’s life-giving message must be announced to all men and in every nation under heaven.

Qu'en est-il de la “ révolte ” prédite des nations et des Rois de la Terre contre le Fils de Dieu? - (Psaume 2:1-6)?

The mission of the Church is to proclaim the Good News of God’s Kingdom to all nations until the moment Jesus arrives  – Matthew 24:14. Jesus commanded his true followers to announce the same message that he preached, which he summarized as the “ Good News of the Kingdom of God .” His Church would spread this message  to all nations without exception  and in unexpected and paradoxical ways. Christ’s sovereignty over humanity must be established! Until his return, we are commanded to proclaim his Gospel to the “ ends of the Earth .”

The kings and nations of the Earth are found in New Jerusalem because of the Lamb’s redemptive work . The Apostle Paul describes the proclamation of “ Christ crucified ” as “ God’s wisdom and power .” The proposition that God overthrew Sin, Satan, and Death through the execution of a lowly man from the small village of Nazareth is “ foolishness ” to men and contrary to this world’s “wisdom” and ideologies. Even the spiritual “ powers and principalities ” did not understand what God was doing and sealed their fate by crucifying the “ Lord of Glory .”

The Lamb’s reign began with his Death and Resurrection. Since then, he has been shepherding the nations toward New Jerusalem . The  Book of Revelation  declares Jesus is the “ Ruler of the Kings of the Earth .” When it describes how he reigns over the “ nations ,” it presents a King of an entirely different nature than Caesar or the political rulers of this evil age. Christ is the “ Lamb ” who was slain to redeem men from every nation, and now, he is “ shepherding ” the “ nations ” so that the city of “ New Jerusalem ” will be fully inhabited.

The Book of Revelation applies several terms to the saints who are being persecuted by the Devil and his earthly agents. They form a united company that transcends national, social, and cultural boundaries. What they have in common is their redemption by the “ blood of the Lamb .” For his disciples, “ tribulation ” and persecution are not aberrations. Persevering through trials while bearing witness is what it means to follow the “ Lamb wherever he goes .”

The foundation of redemption in the Bible is the covenant God made with Abraham. It included the promise that “ all the Nations of the Earth would be blessed ” in the Patriarch, and that he would have innumerable descendants. His offspring would include “ Kings ” and “ Nations .”

Jesus is the promised King from the Line of David who guides the Nations of the Earth to the Holy City, New Jerusalem  – Revelation 12:5. The “ Son ” pictured in the twelfth chapter of the  Book of Revelation  is the Messianic figure of the  Second Psalm  who is destined to “ Shepherd the Nations .” Following his Enthronement, Heaven declared, “ Now is come the Kingdom of God and the authority of His Messiah .” His reign commenced following his “ Faithful Testimony ” given in his Death, and his victory through his Resurrection. He is also, therefore, the “ Firstborn of the Dead .”

The reign of Jesus on the Divine Throne is based on his sacrificial death and resurrection, the unshakable basis of his universal authority . The Death, Resurrection, and the Exaltation of Jesus are all linked in the  Book of Revelation . Christ reigns supreme over the Earth because of his obedient death and subsequent resurrection, and he therefore is authorized to reveal and put the contents of the “ Sealed Scroll ” into action. He does not tyrannize his subjects; instead, he is “ the Shepherd of the nations ” who redeems men and women from every nation.
