Satan's Allotted Time

When Satan is expelled from heaven, a “ great voice ” warns that the “ Dragon ” is enraged since he has only a “ short season ” remaining to inflict harm on those who have the “ testimony of Jesus .” He vented his rage by persecuting the “ woman ” who produced the messianic “ son ,” but he was thwarted from destroying her. Consequently, he launched his “ war ” against her “ seed .”

Time, Times, Part of a Time

In the interpretation of his vision in Chapter 7, Daniel received the limits for the time allotted to the “ Little Horn ” to persecute the saints – “ Time, times, and part of a time .” After that, he lost his domain. The description is ambiguous but becomes clear in Daniel’s subsequent visions. And the  Book of Revelation  uses this cipher for the “ Short Season ” during which the “ Dragon ” and his agents are authorized to persecute the “ saints .”

Satan's Allotted Time

The Devil will be granted a final short season to persecute the saints before the end of the age - Revelation 12:12.  When Satan is expelled from heaven, a “ great voice ” warns that the “ Dragon ” is enraged since he has only a “ short season ” remaining to inflict harm on the followers of Jesus. He attempts to vent his rage by persecuting the “ woman ” who produced the messianic “ son ,” but he is thwarted from doing so. Consequently, he launches his “ war ” against her “ seed. ”

The Forty-Two Months

The period when the saints endure persecution is presented in three different but equivalent forms – “ forty-two months ,” “ 1,260 days ,” and the “ season, seasons, and half a season .” These variations do not point to three separate periods. Instead, they link several visions that describe specific aspects of the persecution that takes place during this period.

Short Season

The Devil will be granted a final “short season” to persecute the saints of the Lamb  -  Revelation 12:7-12 .  When Satan was expelled from heaven, a “ great voice ” warned that the “ Dragon ” was enraged, knowing that he had only a “ short season ” to inflict harm on the saints. He attempted to vent his rage by persecuting the “ woman ” who produced the messianic “ son ,” but was thwarted from doing so. Then, he launched his “ war ” against her “ seed ,” those who had the “ testimony of Jesus .” - [ Photo by Agê Barros on Unsplash ].
